Description
Sam Forrest - Paper Crown
Paper Crown is the second solo album by Sam Forrest, lead singer of Nine Black Alps and collaborator in The Sorry Kisses.
Having recently relocated to his birthplace of rural North Yorkshire, Sam set up a home studio in an empty outbuilding and set about recording his most ambitious work to date.
At over one hour long, hosting no less than seventeen tracks, Paper Crown offers a meditative reflection upon the remote countryside and a forgotten age.
With intimate vocals, delicate violins and intricate fingerpicking the album resonates with the pastoral atmosphere of the likes of 1970s singer songwriters Neil Young and Judee Sill.
